Södra hällarna naturreservat

Op Södra Hällarna zijn bijna alle natuurlijke soorten van het eiland vertegenwoordigd. Hier zijn wind-aangedreven dennenbossen en vochtige hardhouten, steile clusters met raciale steengroeven, fossiele-rijke stranden en zandstranden, gebroken hakken en Alvaries, jungle-achtige wandelwegen, grotten, orchideeën, en nog veel meer. Er zijn gestreepte wandelingen in de omgeving dus het is goed om te rijden en er zijn drie gesigneerde wandellussen.

Reserve regulations

Pursuant to Chapter 7, Sections 5, 6 and 30 of the Environmental Code, Region Gotland prescribes:

Regulations pursuant to Chapter 7, Section 5 of the Environmental Code on restrictions on the right to use land and water areas.

It is prohibited within the reserve to

1. erect buildings or installations other than facilities for outdoor recreation,
2. to lay overhead or underground cables other than for outdoor recreation facilities
3. dredge, dig, excavate, fill, blast or otherwise damage land, rocks or bottoms,
4. organize storage facilities,
5. dig or clear ditches,
6. felling, processing or removing living or dead trees, other than for nature conservation management, or for the control of tree diseases
7. apply plant nutrients or use pesticides, except for the control of tree diseases
8. drive a motorized vehicle without permission from Region Gotland.

Notwithstanding these regulations, Region Gotland may, if necessary, construct and develop public facilities or activities compatible with the purpose of the reserve within the areas marked on the map (Appendix 5).

Furthermore, the manager may, without prejudice to these regulations, take or have taken the management measures required to maintain the purpose of the reserve.

Regulations under Chapter 7. 6 of the Environmental Code on the obligations of owners and holders of special rights to properties to tolerate certain encroachments.

Owners and holders of special rights to real estate within the nature reserve must tolerate the following installations being carried out and the following measures being taken:

1. that the reserve boundary is cleared and marked
2. that entrances and parking lots are constructed,
3. paths, footpaths and cycle tracks are laid and cleared
4. that barbecue areas are constructed
5. that devices for increased accessibility such as stairs, steps, gates, ferries or footbridges are built,
6. that signs with information about the reserve are erected, Byggnadsnämnden Region Gotland 2012-10-12 10 (11)
7. that surveys are carried out of the area's soil and water conditions and animal and plant species,
8. that parts or all of the area are fenced off and that grazing takes place.

Regulations according to Chapter 7, Section 30 of the Environmental Code on the public's right to travel and stay within the nature reserve and on order in general.

In addition to what otherwise applies, it is prohibited to:

1. drive motorized vehicles within the nature reserve, except for parking spaces and access roads to these, rescue and emergency vehicles, vehicles necessary for management measures according to the management plan,
2. break branches or otherwise damage living or dead trees or bushes,
3. dig up plants, however, it is permitted to pick edible mushrooms, berries and non-protected flowers,
4. deliberately injure, kill or collect animals, although angling is permitted,
5. make open fires outside designated areas,
6. bring an unleashed dog within the reserve,
7. set up tents or camp in the reserve.
