Kristinehamns kommun
Välkommen till Kristinehamns fantastiska natur ...
The Prästöleden trail starts on Linsön with large, open pastures. You can clearly see the wooded moraine ridges that run straight through the landscape. They were created when the inland ice melted away. Stop at Linsöstugan, which is an open resting hut. The trail continues west to Prästön, where there are lush deciduous forests. On the northern part of Prästön, there is a small viewing tower with a fine view of Lake Vänern. The whole area is protected as a nature reserve. The trail runs largely through pastures with grazing cows. The animals can be curious. This trail is not suitable for those who want to hike with dogs. Cows, especially if they have calves, can be aggressive towards dogs.
SERVICE: The trail is prepared until May 15. Linsöstugan is an open rest cabin. If you want to camp, it is advisable to do so at the cabin.
