Sörgölet - Evighetsbacken

Evighetsbacken at Sörgölet is a gently undulating open pasture with a couple of forest groves in the southern part. Single trees with old specimens of birch, oxel, lime and willow together with a large number of low-growing junipers give character to the area. The herb richness is generally high. On dry and healthy land, cat's-foot, woodruff, creeping thistle, snake's-foot, pig's-foot, wild linden and field gentian grow. In the wetter parts there are grass/low sedge meadows with species such as millet sedge, flea sedge, foxglove, etc. After restoration in the early 1990s, this is one of the finest pastures in the county.
