Lidernas kvarn

In Valdshults parish there is Lidernas mill and saw. The mill was built around 1800 and is a wheel mill, a saw with a knitting mill was added around 1915. From the beginning, there was only a so-called slate mill in an older stream. The present mill was built in the first half of the 19th century. The mill was in use until 1940 and the sawmill was used until 1947 when the water wheel had run out. After this, both saw and mill fell into disrepair. In 1968, Lidernas saw and mill were donated to Valdshults hembygdsförening, which then began extensive renovation work.
