To get to the reserve, you need to travel on roads that are often blocked. There is no guarantee that it is possible to get there by car. Starting in Kolåsen, travel south on Kolåsenvägen for 2.5 kilometers. Turn left and travel for 11 kilometers. Then turn left and you reach the nature reserve after 1 kilometer.

The right of public access also applies in protected areas, but is restricted by various regulations. In addition to what otherwise applies in laws and regulations, it is forbidden to enter the nature reserve:

• picking and collecting species of various kinds, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms
• climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately harming or disturbing wildlife,
• damage the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• make fires, except in specially designated places where these exist
• drive a motorized vehicle on the mainland.
