Beskrivelse
Old spruces, pines and deciduous trees with traces of fires in their bark. There are plenty of dead trees in the forest, of different types and in different stages of decay, providing habitats for a variety of rare wood fungi. Old, coarse aspen and willow, with scented lichen, lung lichen and hull lichen, contrast nicely with the dark conifers. The area is rich in lime, which provides conditions for species that need lime and soil with more nutrients. There are, for example, guckusko, soapwort and black magic grape. The small orchid knotweed sends up slender flower stalks with white flowers.

Veibeskrivelse
The reserve is located just over a mile northwest of Strömsund. Just south of Strömsund you turn off the E45 and take road 339 towards Laxsjö. After six kilometers you turn right towards Svaningen and after another mile you turn right again. After five kilometers, there is a gated forest road on the right, leave the car here and walk the last two kilometers to the reserve.
Forskrifter
Welcome to Laholmsnäset. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
- picking and collecting species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
- climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make fires, except in specially designated places
- drive motorized vehicles off-road throughout the area
- carry out organized activities without the permission of the County Administrative Board, such as sports events, hunting tests, visits by large groups, recurring events, etc. The permit requirement does not apply to groups with fewer than 15 participants, or to school classes or pre-school groups that only engage in traditional hiking or touring on occasion.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
