Beskrivelse
Kedholmens is an island of about 18 hectares, located just west of the Särö peninsula. The island is a popular bathing island and the nature is dominated by bare rocks and heathland. Conifers grow in sheltered locations. You need to have access to your own boat to get to the island.
Unlike what is usually the case in the Halland archipelago, there has been some tree planting on the island. The planting of conifers began in the late 1920s and continued for a couple of decades. Yew trees also grow on the island, but these have probably spread from Särö Västerskog.

Kedholmen is located in Kungsbacka municipality.How to get to the reserve:There is no regular boat service to the island, so you need to have access to your own boat.
Forskrifter
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage the vegetation by, for example, picking or digging up plants,
- disturbing wildlife
- bring an unleashed dog,
- camping, however, camping may take place for up to two consecutive days in a place designated by the manager,
- mooring a boat, however, mooring may take place for up to two consecutive days in a place designated by the manager,
- make fires other than in the designated place, and
- use a radio, tape recorder or similar in a disruptive manner.
