Beskrivelse
The reserve, which consists mainly of pine forest and moorland, is located on the heights east of Insjön. A small part of the reserve is in Gagnef municipality.
A couple of areas with a large number of deciduous trees show the formerly widespread herding activities. There are small wetlands between the forest areas. The natural values lie mainly in the large proportion of overstory trees, i.e. old, coarse pines left over from the most recent felling.
