Mittnordenleden Vintertjärn-Runsvik

The hike from Vintertjärn to Runsvik is easier and more accessible than the stretch from Södra berget, as it offers a lot of forest roads, but still a nice forest feel. The gradient is also less steep, even though the climb up to Håltjärn is more than 100 meters in height. The entire route is 12.8 km. Along the route there is a rest area at the foot of Prästhusberget with bench tables and a barbecue ring. Otherwise, a tip is to take the path up Prästhusberget to enjoy the view of Klingstabygden while you rest and maybe have a coffee or a meal. Up there, however, there are no opportunities to make a fire. At Håltjärn, which is about halfway up, there is an old rest cabin, but it is in very poor condition. The lake is nice, so it may still be suitable as a resting place. Note that fishing in the lake is private, and not open to the public. On the way to Långsjön, you pass a really wet section, and a little way down the slope there is a shelter on the north side of the road. Both the start and the end of the route are passed by bus line 142 between Matfors and Sundsvall. At Vintertjän, the stops are called Vintertjärn and Sommartjärn. At Runsvik, the stops are Bergom V and Tuna.
