Tjärnmyran

Tjärnmyran Nature Reserve is a small but representative section of the boreal and fire-affected landscape with natural forests that previously covered Norrland's hinterland.

The high natural values of the nature reserve are mainly linked to the area's fire-affected natural pine forests, which contain general to abundant natural forest structures such as old large trees and dead wood, such as old grayed dry bark and pine needles, in various stages of decomposition. The older generation of trees is about 160 years old in the northern parts and up to 200 years old in the southern parts.
