Beskrivelse
Bellunåive is one of Arvidsjaur’s many natural gems. It is a relatively large area with primary forest lying near a logging road. There are a good deal of old spruce draped with lichen and large numbers of dead standing and fallen trees – just as there should be in a virgin forest! The highest point is 673 metres above sea level and most of the reserve lies above 500 metres’ altitude. In the higher-lying areas open areas of exposed bedrock extend. The area is 10.4 square kilometres in size.

From the community of Arvidsjaur, drive northwards for 6 kilometres on the E45, then turn left and drive about 27 kilometres, until you arrive at the logging road that leads to the northern part of Bellunåive. After about 1.5 km you are in the reserve. The reserve lies fairly close to Reivo Nature Reserve, another gem worth visiting!
Veibeskrivelse
If you leave Arvidsjaur town, drive north for about 6 kilometers along the E45 but then turn left and drive about 2.7 miles until you reach the forest road that leads to the northern part of Bellunåive. After about 1.5 km you are inside the reserve. The reserve is not far from Reivo Nature Reserve, another gem worth a visit!
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- hike
- driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- make fires
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
It is not allowed to litter or damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
