Beskrivelse
The scenic Smedjeån Skönhult consists of a stretch of river, floodplain forests and deciduous forests. Here you are met by rocky, flowing stretches and calm flowing water, large parts of the reserve are wetlands. At the moment there are no adapted facilities here, but you get a nice view of the reserve from the area around Skönhult bridge. The area is scenic and despite its limited size and proximity to the road, it has a lot of wilderness feeling closest to the river.

Public transport: The Skönhult Hishult bus stop is only 150 meters from the nature reserve and can be reached by Hallandstrafiken bus no. 228. By car from Laholm: follow road 24 towards Hishult. After about 18 km turn right at the sign Våxtorp 9 km. There is no organized parking.
Forskrifter
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- camping for more than two consecutive days
- setting up a caravan or motorhome in the reserve between 22-06
- drive a motorized vehicle other than on a road or park other than in a designated place
- break, knock, remove or paint on stones and minerals
- damage, pick or collect mosses, lichens or fungi other than single specimens. The prohibition does not apply to the picking of edible fungi.
- planting species alien to the area
Without permission from the County Administrative Board, it is also forbidden to:
- put up a board, poster, sign, carving or make an inscription
- use traps that kill invertebrates
- organizing camps or competitions, and
- carrying out scientific research involving marking, collecting, trapping or otherwise affecting the natural environment.
