Beskrivelse
Klimparnas nature reserve offers great nature experiences in the form of large and wilderness-like forest areas with indented marshes and lakes. There are no facilities in the area and there are virtually no paths, so visitors have to make their way through unpaved terrain. The reserve covers just over 850 hectares of land on the western side of Lake Rossen, just over 2 miles south-southwest of Färila in Ljusdal municipality. It is a large, contiguous, largely roadless area, with fire-affected natural coniferous forest.
Forest fires and dead wood
The forests consist mainly of older pine forests and mixed coniferous forests and the area is strongly characterized by recurrent forest fires. The area's fire history is well documented, with 67 forest fires recorded between 1235 and 1845. Traces of fire in the form of burnt stumps and flames, as well as fire sounds in living pines and dead wood, are scattered throughout the nature reserve.
The area is an important habitat for species associated with fire-affected natural forests and several species worthy of protection and threatened species have been found in the area.

Forskrifter
Special rules apply in the nature reserve. It is not allowed to:
- drive motorized vehicles other than on roads intended for motorized traffic
- take firewood. Firing is only permitted if you have brought your own firewood
- breaking branches, felling or otherwise damaging living or dead standing or fallen trees and bushes
- damaging, picking or collecting plants, fungi and lichens
- climbing nest trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise harming or disturbing wildlife
- putting up a picture, poster, billboard, sign or inscription
- damage solid objects or surfaces, such as moving or removing stones, digging or similar
- use the area for organized competitions without the permission of the county administrative board
- use the area for military exercises.
Regulation 1 above does not prevent driving with snowmobiles in winter on frozen and well snow-covered ground.
Regulation 4 above does not prevent the picking of berries and edible mushrooms that are not red-listed, or the picking of other plants that are not red-listed for personal use.
Regulations 1 and 5 above do not prevent holders of special rights in connection with the hunting that is permitted in the nature reserve.
Regulation 5 does not prevent permitted fishing.
Regulation 6 does not preclude temporary signage in connection with licensed organized competitions under regulation 8.
