Fjällbergets naturreservat

Knotty pines and wooded bogs are characteristic of the nature reserve on Fjällberget, the municipality's highest mountain, 525 m. But the glorious view of the foothills and Siljan is best experienced along the way up, because the top is diffuse.

The reserve is 58 ha in size and part of a larger old-growth forest area up on the mountain. In the old and sparse forest, the feeling of wilderness and silence is palpable. The sloping moorland a little way up bears pine trees that twist as if they were tormented by weather and wind. Marked paths lead through the reserve. When hiking on the path from Vådsjön up to the top of the mountain - take a break and look out over the area!
