This is a perfect training ride on the road or just a nice bike ride with beautiful views. If you start in Hemavan, you start by cycling E12 towards Tärnaby. After about 4 km you turn left towards Solberg. Calm and nice asphalt cycling until Laisholm where the gravel road takes over.
The gravel road then winds along the beach of Storlaisan and passes both nice hiking trails and beautiful beaches. After about 17 km you come to Solberg**. At the next two junctions, just follow the signs for Tärnaby. At the second crossing you are back on the E12. An alternative route from Solberg is to take Tärnaleden to Tärnaby.
Length: 45 km from Hemavan or 35 km from Tärnaby.
Suitable for anyone who is trained for the distance. * If you have a little extra energy in your legs, you can make a small detour to Laisaliden just before Laisholm. Highly situated facility with magical views. From here, the Drottningleden trail crosses the mountain to Hemavan. ** Cycle up to Fjällgården and go on a tour to the top of Gurkfjället or stop at the beach in Solberg and take a guaranteed cooling dip.

Things to consider: " Cycling is at your own risk. " Wear a helmet. " When cycling on public roads, follow current traffic rules. " The tour is not signposted, but follows existing roads, paths and trails, so keep an eye on the map. " Show consideration for hikers, fellow road users and others you meet along the route. " For your own safety and the safety of others, remember to maintain and service your bike. Wash and lubricate gears and chains (use environmentally friendly oils) - maintain and change brakes if necessary. " When traveling long distances, remember to always bring: extra tube - pump - tools for simple repairs - first aid - extra energy - fluids. " Don't leave anything in the wild, take rubbish, broken tubes, chain links and whatever else back home with you. " If you are cycling by yourself, leave a message about where you are cycling and when you expect to be back. Cell phones are great, but you may not have coverage everywhere!
