Beskrivelse
Hovfjällsrundan takes you around the entire nature reserve. You have a nice view from Björnåsen in the eastern part and you pass several forest lakes. At Vadjebergen, the trail goes through a magical old-growth forest where the spruces are overgrown with beard lichen. Some parts are very steep here. At the resting place Råkullstjärn there is a quiet, magical calm. In the west, nature is varied with bogs, spruce forest and rocky areas. At the Bondfugestorp rest area, the meadows are mown to preserve the meadow flora. Finish with a trip to the viewing tower on Hovfjällstoppen.

SERVICE: The trail is prepared from June 15. The rest house Bondfugestorp is open all year round. Camping 45 offers accommodation in cabins and camping. Camping 45 offers guided tours. Vitsands Hembygdsgård is located nearby.

Kommunikasjon
Värmlandstrafik bus 209 runs from Torsby travel center to the Överbyn stop. From Överbyn there is a connecting trail to the Hovfjället trail system, about 2 km. The trail connects to Hovfjällsrundan, see map. In Överbyn the connecting trail starts just north of Camping 45.

Vitsand, north of Torsby
From Torsby you drive road E45/E16 north, about 17 km. Just north of Överbyn, there are signs for "Naturreservat Hovfjället 7", to the left. The road ends at Hovfjället's large parking lot, with the ski resort on the left. The nature reserve's visitor entrance is straight ahead at the upper parking lot.
Forskrifter
It is prohibited to:
- pitching a tent or caravan/camper other than in a place designated for the purpose
- light an open fire other than in a specially prepared and designated place or if a total fire ban is issued,
- break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and bushes
- digging up or picking plants
- disturbing wildlife
- drive a motorized vehicle other than on an existing road,
- bring an unleashed dog or other pet. Exceptions only in connection with permitted hunting.

Awesome hike with very varied terrain - from old forest to great views to a forest lake. Very clearly marked. Parts of the trail are very steep but should be manageable with some experience. Shoes with good grip is a must.
