By car: Take the E4 south from Stockholm to the exit towards Trosa and Vagnhärad. From there, the road to Tullgarn Castle is signposted. There are parking lots in several places, including at the castle and Näset. Turn off towards Näset north of the avenue.

By public transport: The Trosabussen bus serves Tullgarn some days of the week. See Trosabussen for stops and current timetable.

To protect Tullgarn Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to

1. destroy or damage any solid natural object or surface formation by drilling, hacking, blasting, carving, painting or the like
2. drive motorized vehicles other than on designated roads
3. disturbing wildlife (e.g. by climbing trees, staying in the vicinity of pots, catching or killing mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians)
4. bringing dogs, cats or other pets that are not on a leash
5. Making fires elsewhere in designated and prepared places
6. Putting up a caravan or trailer
7. Riding other than on designated roads and areas
8. Organize a marked trail or orientation check
9. Mooring or anchoring a boat for more than two days in the same place.

Within the inner zone (the original nature reserve), camping is also prohibited. Within the outer zone (the original nature conservation area), it is also forbidden to put up signs, boards, posters or similar.
