Beskrivelse
Måkkaure is located 20 kilometers north of the village Vuollerim. The landscape here is very scenic, with pine covered ridges that make their way between small lakes. The forest shifts between primeval spruce forest and dry pine forests, which house 500-year-old, gnarled pine trees.

Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camp
- make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
Among other things, it is not allowed to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
