The labyrinth is the only one of its kind known in the interior of Småland. It is adjacent to a burial ground and is possibly as old (500-1050 AD). The labyrinth, built of small cobblestones, is the only one preserved in the county and has been used in games and ceremonies with cultic significance. In more recent times, they have been used for courtship games and dancing. Often the labyrinths are built of small stones lying directly on the ground and it is easy to imagine that many similar labyrinths have been destroyed over the centuries.
