Beskrivelse
The forest has burned on several occasions. On some stumps there are traces of five different fires.
The reserve was established to preserve old, natural coniferous forest. There are many dead trees in the reserve, both lying down - flames - and standing - dry branches. In the northern part there are some really old, large pines that are still alive.
Animals and plants
Lisselberget is the first place in Värmland where several rare wood-living insects have been found, e.g. the robust mold beetle. Many other red-listed species have also been found in the area, e.g. broktagel and creamy spurge.
Capercaillie, Stonechat and Three-toed Woodpecker are regularly observed in the area and, if you are lucky, you may also see Grey Woodpecker and Lesser Spotted Woodpecker.
Facilities
There are currently no visitor facilities in the reserve. Nordvärmlandsleden, marked in yellow on the map, passes west of the reserve.

Veibeskrivelse
The reserve is located in Värmlands län, Torsby municipality, about 5 km east of Sysslebäck. From road 62, just south of Sysslebäck and 3 km north of Ransby, take the gravel road east and follow signs for Vandrarhem/Ransbysätern. After about 10 km, just before Ransbysätern, turn left and continue almost 2 km to the reserve. The road is closed during the thaw.
Forskrifter
In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- collect invertebrates, such as beetles and land snails
- collecting mosses, lichens and wood fungi
- damaging or removing trees and shrubs, as well as dead wood such as lying and standing dry trees and dry branches
- driving vehicles.
Without the permission of the county administrative board, it is forbidden to make organized commercial use of the area and for schools and institutions to regularly use the area to carry out scientific or other studies.
