Nu är Hälleskogsbrännans dag tillbaka!

The Hälleskogsbrännan Nature Reserve was established in response to a
crisis—the major forest fire of 2014. The reserve is part of the area that
was affected by the forest fire. Here you can experience the aftermath of the
forest fire up close and see how nature is recovering and life is returning. It is
both fascinating and frightening to see how dramatically the forces of nature have transformed the landscape.

Every year during Week 39, the “Preparedness Week” campaign is held,
organized by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. This year, the County Administrative Board has chosen to
host “Hälleskogsbrännan Day,” focusing specifically on preparedness, as a kickoff to this year’s Preparedness Week.

Date and Time

Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 20. We’ll be at Grävlingsberget from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location

The main visitor area with trails, an observation tower,
restrooms, an outdoor classroom, and a barbecue area. You can access the observation tower with
a wheelchair or stroller, but you cannot go up into the tower itself.
