Beskrivelse
Here you can experience old forest and wetlands with several fine plants that are only found in soils with a lot of lime in them. Källmyren is a rich marsh, i.e. a wetland affected by groundwater with a lot of lime in it. The forest has grown up after a fire and is between 170 and 200 years old spruce forest. You may see a few older pines. Historical maps show that the land was largely used for mowing grass and herbs for winter fodder for the animals. Wetlands and nutrient-rich forests are valuable types of nature. The whole area has been included in the European network of valuable nature, Natura 2000.

Veibeskrivelse
Följ väg E45 från Östersund, i cirka nio kilometer mot nordost, till en parkering till höger om E45 strax innan byn Kläppe. Därifrån är det promenad eller cykling cirka 500 meter längs skogsbilväg fram till naturreservatet. Området går även att nås med cirka 500 meters promenad från busshållplats vid E45:an.
Forskrifter
Welcome to Källmyren. Keep in mind that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of various kinds, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately damaging or disturbing wildlife,
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make fires, other than firewood
- drive a motorized vehicle.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
