The reserve has scattered infestations of spruce bark beetle. This means that there are a lot of dead standing spruces in the forest and along the paths.
The trees can fall suddenly and without warning. Keep an eye out and avoid visiting the reserve when it is windy!
Beskrivelse
There is a wood store next to Stora Envätterns visitor parking lot. Two other wood stores are located adjacent to the reserve.
Take care of the benches! Next to the wood store there is a chopping block/manual wood splitter you can use.
There is no guarantee that the wood stores are filled.

Veibeskrivelse
Till fots:Naturreservatet nås via Sörmlandsleden etapp 13.
Med bil:Åk E20 västerut från Södertälje ca en knapp mil. Ta Nykvarnsavfarten (vänster) söderut mot Järna. Fortsätt ca 7 km och sväng höger mot Gnesta. Efter ca 6 km passera en smal vik av Yngern – Yngsviken. Fortsätt ca 600 m och sväng höger in på mindre grusväg. Skyltat höger ”Naturreservat”. Efter ca 1,1 km, strax före en bom, följ skyltning ner till vänster ca 600 m till parkering och reservatsinformation. Det går även att följa Sörmlandsleden från Yngsviken där det finns parkeringsytor och etappinfo om Sörmlandsleden.
Forskrifter
To protect the Great Envättern Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.
In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, hacking, blasting, carving, digging, painting or similar
- break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs or otherwise damage vegetation by digging up plants such as rice, herbs, mosses or lichens or removing woody fungi
- disturbing wildlife (for example, by climbing nest trees, trapping or killing mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians)
- fishing
- catching and collecting invertebrates
- bringing an unleashed dog
- camping for more than two consecutive days
- make a fire other than in a designated place
- put up a board, poster, poster, sign or make an inscription
- drive a motorized vehicle or ride a bicycle off the road.
