Beskrivelse
In the Ramsojávrre Nature Reserve, you can experience
an ancient forest where hanging lichens adorn the trees, and the call of the
black woodpecker echoes between the trunks. There are no marked trails here, so
you’ll have to explore on your own through pine forests and ridges with trees
up to 300 years old.
The area is home to a rich variety of fungi and lichens
living on fallen trees, including species like the northern tooth fungus and
the polypore (rosenticka).
A babbling brook runs below the slopes, and wetlands
to the north offer a diverse natural experience. With some luck, you might spot
traces of the three-toed woodpecker or see holes pecked by the black woodpecker
in the trees.

Veibeskrivelse
The
nature reserve is located 32 km northeast of Jokkmokk and about 7 km west of
Urtimjaur. The reserve can be accessed from the south via a forest road from
Urtimjaur. From Urtimjaur, turn north from road 820. After about 4 km, turn
south/left just before the start of the Muddusleden trail at Lijnávárre. After
approximately 11.5 km, the road crosses the southern border of the reserve and
ends at a turning point slightly further north.

The following activities are permitted:
- Camping
- Hiking
- Picking berries and edible mushrooms
- Making a fire (remember to bring your own firewood!)
- Driving snowmobiles on well-covered snow
- Fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is not permitted to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of
public access and take care of nature!
