Beskrivelse
Krokberg
can be likened to "the reserve of a hundred tarns," where a diversity
of natural types creates a mosaic of forest, mire, and lake. This distinctive
dead ice landscape has been shaped by the melting of the ice sheet, resulting
in hills, ridges, and depressions that now host valuable habitats for various
species.
Here, one can find a rich flora and fauna, including rare fungi and
lichens, thriving in the protected natural forest with its natural structure
and variation.
The Krokberg forests also provide excellent hunting grounds and
habitats for birds such as the northern goshawk. The landscape also bears
traces of human history, with bike paths and archaeological sites that testify
to a time when bicycles were the primary means of transport between villages.

Veibeskrivelse
The nature reserve is located about 20 km
southwest of the town of Arvidsjaur. Follow road 95 west from Arvidsjaur, then
take road 523 south until you reach Krokberg.
Forskrifter
The following activities are permitted:
- Camping
- Hiking
- Picking berries and edible mushrooms
- Making a fire (remember to bring your own firewood!)
- Driving snowmobiles on well-covered snow
- Fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is not permitted to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of
public access and take care of nature!
