Walk the nature reserve trail, which is just over two kilometres long, and you will experience storybook scenery, loud birdsong, and blue anemones that bloom in April. Continue, following the sharply delineated Braåsen Ridge, which was created thousands of years ago when the glaciers receded. After about a 15-minutes’ walk, you’ll get to Sandviken beach, a great place to swim in Lake Örken. Close by, are the Drakhuset pavilion, as well as Eremithyddan (the Hermit Hut), which is reminiscent of the gingerbread house known from fairy tales. The loop then continues toward Braås manor, which is surrounded by hardwood greenery and pastureland. Hawfinch and redstart can be found in the area. Watch the birds or just sit down at the grill area, and enjoy a bite, together with the beauty around you.
