Beskrivelse
Walk through the Evedalsåsen Ridge nature reserve, and you may well get an idea of the mighty forces that shaped this place. When the glaciers receded, great quantities of water flooded the countryside. Together with stone, gravel and sand, this formed the boulder ridge. Up on the ridge, you'll also find kettle holes - holes that were created when giant blocks of ice melted. This area also bears the marks of Hurricane Gudrun's attack. On the remains of the burnt, fir trees lying on the ground, you can find the rare Pycnoporellus fulges mushroom in all its yellow splendour. Wild strawberries and veronica grow up here on the ridge. The nature reserve is located near Evedal, northeast of Växjö.
Forskrifter
You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- destroy or damage solid natural objects or surface formations, for example by drilling, painting, chiseling, or otherwise damaging rocks, boulders, living or dead trees and stumps
- drive or park a motorized vehicle other than on a designated road or place
- camp or set up a caravan
- pick, or otherwise damage or remove, lichens and mosses, except for field studies
- picking plants for sale
- disturbing wildlife, for example by being intrusive at a nesting site or similar
- making a fire
- put up a board, sign, placard, poster, inscription or similar device (temporary signage for a few weeks, for a tip walk or similar, is permitted)
Other legislation on what you are allowed to do in the forest and land also applies in the nature reserve.
