Åkulla Pumptrack

Åkulla pumptrack is an approximately 100-meter-long graveled track for cycling, made up of packed masses shaped into hills, curves and jumps.

The idea of the track is that you as a cyclist should be able to pump your way through the track using your body weight and technique and without having to pedal very much. It's perfect technique training for all ages and skill levels, regardless of the size of your bike.

The pump track was built in 2020 in the outdoor project Outwest through the collaboration between the associations Varbergs MTB, Friluftsfrämjandet Varberg-Viske and Åkulla Bokskogars Intresseförening with the coordination of Varberg Municipality. The project was financed with funds from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Locally Led Development Halland. The land on which the facility stands is leased by Varbergs Fastighets AB.
