**Old Museum Farm and Mannerstråhleska House

This idyllic courtyard is one of Arbogas gathering points. Here, a mixed range of culture is performed, such as folk plays, and various musical events during the summer. The neighbors on the next street have for many years become accustomed to hearing loud voices at theater rehearsals, and music at performances. Some years, during the Medieval Days, this courtyard also becomes a monastery, and you can watch the play Give Us Peace. A play Rune Lindström wrote especially for Arboga. It is about the time when monks were in the village and Engelbrekt ruled. The location is well chosen for this game, because under the old Mannerstrålska house, which the farm borders, there is a medieval cellar, vault and entrance to a so-called monk's passage. The passageways have not been archaeologically investigated, but they keep the Arbogans' imagination going about the monks' secret occupation under the city. The house has housed several mayors, including Robert Pertre, who was so wealthy that he paid 145 times more in taxes than other burghers in the city. Charles XI often visited Pertre when he was in the area to hunt bears. Today the house belongs to Arboga Museum.
