By the blue road (E12/E45) is Storuman's red pride - the statue of Vildmannen.
The red color symbolizes the unstoppable power of the inhabitants of Lapland. The golden club that the Wild Man holds behind his back symbolizes wealth and the wreaths of leaves symbolize the wild nature of Lapland.
**This statue of the Wild Man is also the cover image of the book "TRISTA SEVÄRDHETER", by Johan Tell (2011).
