Vildmarksleden

Between Molkom and the lake Mången goes Vildmarksleden, a hiking trail with the feeling of wilderness and varied scenery in hilly terrain.

The 13 km long trail starts at the railway station in Molkom. It continues to lake Mangen where it connects with Brattforsheden. The trail meanders through the varied terrain. Along the track through the Värmland wilderness you pass Jönsberget that is a hill with a nice view and interesting flora, the river Prostgårdsälven and its ravines, lake Mangen and vast pinewoods with a rich plant and animal life, and more. Charcoal pits and colliery huts, a plague graveyard and an ancient burial ground are other things that the trail can offer. A map can be bought at Karlstad Tourist Office.
