Beskrivelse
In Prästgårdsåsen, the oak forest dominates and many of the trees are between 130-150 years old. The reserve also has an oak-hazel grove where ferns and goldenrod grow. The reserve is easy to walk in at times, despite the fact that there are no landscaped paths. Adjacent to the reserve is a quarry, when blasting is carried out the area is not suitable to visit.
Up on the ridge grows heath forest with late-grown, crooked scrub oaks. Many of the trees are covered in moss that is shiny green with light branch tips.

Forskrifter
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage living or dead standing or lying trees and bushes,
- damage, pick or collect vascular plants, mosses, lichens or fungi other than picking berries, edible mushrooms and individual specimens,
- use traps intended for invertebrates without the permission of the county administrative board
- planting plant or animal species alien to the area,
- organize camps or competitions without the permission of the County Administrative Board,
- camping for more than two consecutive days
- set up a caravan or motorhome in the reserve between 22-06,
- put up a board, poster, sign, signpost or make an inscription,
- drive a motorized vehicle other than on a road or park other than in a designated place, the prohibition does not apply to hunting rights holders when transporting moose, deer and wild boar,
- bring an unleashed dog with the exception of hunting with a dog or for searching, and
- make a fire other than in a designated place.
