Guffride, Naturreservat

Guffride nature reserve is a somewhat inaccessible continuation of the Mallgårds haid nature reserve. The nature in these reserves shows great similarities, a mosaic of rocky areas and coniferous forest on land with relatively thin soil cover.
Most of the forest has not been affected by modern farming methods; instead, felling has taken place by picking individual trees. The area has now been left completely untouched for several years and has developed into a natural coniferous forest with natural forest qualities. There is a relatively large number of dry trees and flames in a sunlit position, which makes the biotope an interesting place for insects. The southern half of the reserve is somewhat more fertile and is covered by uneven-aged, multi-layered, natural forest-like and partly moist coniferous mixed forest that has been left untouched for a long time.
