Libertas fågelskyddsområde

Libertas and Rövarns holme is a bird protection area where landing is prohibited during the birds' breeding season from April 1 to July 15. It is home to Stockholm's largest colony of herring gulls. With a good pair of binoculars, you can watch the bird life of the islands from Stora Fjäderholmen. Libertas has a lighthouse that has been declared a listed building. Rövarns islet is an artificial island that was created in the 1910s when stone left over from the construction of Saltsjöbanan was dumped here.
