The Cultural Trail at Råda Ås

The Cultural Trail is a 5.3-kilometre walking trail on Råda Ridge, a popular recreational and outdoor area located around five kilometres west of Lidköping town centre. It is one of four family-friendly walking trails in the area, taking visitors through a landscape where nature and cultural history come together.

The trail crosses Råda Ridge, a prominent glacial esker formed during the last Ice Age. Parts of the route are gently undulating and pass through both coniferous and deciduous woodland. Along the way, information boards explain the area's cultural heritage and highlight the places you pass, making the walk both scenic and informative.

The Cultural Trail is marked with brown waymarkers and is graded as easy, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced walkers. The walk takes approximately 80 minutes to complete and starts and finishes at Råda Viewpoint.

Råda Viewpoint offers visitor facilities including toilets, barbecue areas, picnic tables and a viewing platform with information about the area's culture, natural environment and geology. The Nature Trail and the Water & Geology Trail also begin here, while the shorter Farm Trail starts at the Nearby Farm.
