Barnens Gård – a day filled with swimming, play, and animals

It might start with a ride down the water slide. Then a visit to the goats. Maybe a ride in the electric cars or a few jumps on the bouncy castle. Suddenly, several hours have flown by.

At Barnens Gård, just outside Karlskrona, a water park, playground, and petting zoo all come together in one place. Here, children can switch between fast-paced water slides, wading pools, and play areas, while curious goats, rabbits, horses, and pigs wait just around the corner.

The playground features electric cars, obstacle courses, and bounce houses that encourage physical activity, and when the summer sun is out, the water park becomes a natural gathering spot. For many families, the combination of swimming, play, and animals is what fills the day without requiring much planning.

When hunger strikes, there’s a restaurant and a snack bar on the premises, before it’s time for another round among the animals or one last ride down the water slide.

Discover the Mörrum River, the salmon, and the culture along the river

There’s something special about the Mörrum River. The water rushes through the town, anglers stand intently along the riverbank, and tales of giant salmon have drawn visitors here for generations.

A visit to Mörrums Kronolaxfiske is just as suitable for curious families with children as it is for fishing enthusiasts. Along the way, you’ll pass historic sites, beautiful views of the water, and informational signs that tell the story of Mörrum’s history and the people who have lived and worked here over the centuries.
