Badplats Kvarndammen

The mill pond is a popular and easily accessible bathing area in the Alterälven river, run by Alterdalens Bygdeförening. Bruksbadet, or "Bruket" as it is often called, is located in the scenic setting of the old mill in Altersbruk. The bathing area itself is framed by a pier to form a fenced "pool". The area includes a kiosk, mini golf and an outhouse. It works well to get around with a wheelchair both at the kiosk and the jetty.

Water sampling is carried out by Piteå municipality.
