Yttersjörundan

A beautiful forest lake, magical old pines and the scent of

water hemlock. There are worse views!

Yttersjörundan is a short but beautiful loop that takes

around Yttersjön in the Stora Fjället nature reserve.

To connect to Yttersjön you need to hike a few kilometers on

Granviksleden (blue) that starts in Granvik, or park at

Stora Ormahålan and hike in a northerly direction. Yttersjön is in many ways

characteristic of the area with its dark and nutrient-poor

water, surrounded by sphagnum and pors. The small peninsula that goes out

in the middle of the lake is made for magical coffee breaks.
