Motorhome holiday at the Göta Canal and Lake Vänern

There are 14 spots with electricity for your camper/motorhome next to the canal. At the upper harbor there are 12 more spots with electricity.

For access to facilities, a deposit fee of SEK 200 is paid and in exchange you get a service card that is used for access to the facilities - when you hand the card in at the reception, you get SEK 200 back. In the service building, however, showering and washing are free.

The reception is in the yellow house behind the parking lot near the lock. Here is also the waffle house where you can enjoy tasty waffles. When the waffle house is closed, the reception is at Café Baltzar by the upper harbor.

Sjötorp and Göta Canal

In the Canal and Maritime Museum you can take part in the shipping of past times on Lake Vänern, Vättern and Göta Canal. Learn how the canal was dug over 200 years ago and see documentation of old boats, blueprints, shipwrecks and old letters and more.

Take the opportunity to take a bike ride along the canal and discover more small communities and other attractions along the way. Bicycle rental is available in Sjötorp.

The passengerboat M/S Bellevue make day tours from Sjötorp to Töreboda (and vice versa) during May-September.
