Popular rest area with airplanes on pillars
There is also an Infopoint with information on boards and brochures about Grästorp and the surrounding area.
Many people stop here on their way from the Stockholm area to the West Coast, and the number of visitors increases every year.
The rest area is very well maintained and pleasant, and there are plenty of grassy areas for restless children who want to run off their energy.
Viggen is a fighter plane donated by the nearby F7 Såtenäs air wing.
Rastplats Viggen is also the start of Skaraborg's first tourist route Vänerslingan, a road that stretches via Tun to Lidköping in a rural beautiful nature.
Rastplats Viggen is only 2.5 km from Grästorp, where there are about 30 shops, restaurants, sports facilities, etc.
