Description:

Svarte mosse is located at Biskopsgården on Hisingen surrounded by buildings along one shore. Svarte mosse is small, very shallow and heavily overgrown. Svarte mosse was previously the Yellow Card's best carp lake. Unfortunately, almost all the fish died from lack of oxygen during two winters. The largest carp caught in the lake weighed 16.2 kg (1993) and the largest rudd 1.3 kg. Fish stocks have recovered and new carp have been stocked. However, the vegetation makes fishing difficult and there is a rich bird life, so great care must be taken when fishing. Lead sinkers must therefore not be used, so use the environmentally friendly alternatives available on the market.
