Skinnskattebergs kyrka

Skinnskatteberg's magnificent church can be seen from afar with its tall, powerful tower and is a bit of a symbol of the town.

Skinnskatteberg's church is widely used with several services held each year. The church is situated high up and the tower can be seen from afar. Some of the objects in the church include the baptismal font, which was a gift from Lars Nilsson and made of brass in 1684, the silver baptismal bowl is from 1782 and the pewter bowl is also from the 18th century. The church has been renovated several times since it was built. The last major renovation took place in 1972 when the altarpiece was removed and a choir window in the east was opened.

Next to the church there is a tin box with pilgrim passports and pilgrim stamps for those walking the St Olav Rombo Way pilgrimage trail.
