Karmansboslingan

Starting and finishing at the working life museum Karmansbo bruksmiljö, this circular trail takes you on a varied hike.

You can follow the almost 6 km long trail clockwise as some, slightly steeper, parts are easier to hike up.

Starting at the parking lot of Karmansbo bruksmiljös, you follow the orange markings past the workers' barn. After a careful check of the traffic, cross the road and make your way up the old KURJ track. The walk along the former embankment is easy and well prepared. Here you have good views of fields and pastures.

Just before Heds church it is time to cross the road again. After this, you continue to follow the marked path, first along a gravel road and then further along a path on arable land. After this you enter Hedströmmens nature reserve.

After crossing the stream, you follow the waterline through the nature reserve. Here there is a forest trail that takes you through mossy forests, up some winding hills and past beautiful water views.

When you step out of the nature reserve, there is about half a kilometer left in the forest before you arrive on Yggersvägen and turn right. About 300 meters later you come out on a short stretch of asphalt. Then turn right and walk the last bit to Karmansbo bruksmiljö between the house and barn.

A final bridge takes you back over Hedströmmen and now you pass right next to the blacksmith's shop and forge in Karmansbo. Here you can take the opportunity to read more about life and work at the site in the past.
