Information board number 9 tells about the bar walk in the area

A 1 070 meter long bar walkway ran through the area and was used into the 18th century. It was probably one of the longest in the country. A bar walk was a mechanical power transmission device made of wood and driven by a water wheel. Wooden rods were joined together and propagated the movement that the first log received from the rotating wheel. The rod drive supplied power to the pumps at Nygruvan and continued on to Vattengruvan at Hagaberg.
