Beskrivelse
Badelundaåsen is a pebble ridge formed during the Ice Age. Here you will find yourself in one of Sweden's most archaeologically dense areas, best known for the large burial mound Anundshög. There are over 200 ancient remains within the boundaries of the nature reserve alone. Parts of the Badelunda fornstig trail run through the nature reserve. Along the paths there are signs that tell you about the various ancient remains.
Badelunda Ridge is clearly visible in the landscape, in some places it is twenty meters high. The ridge was formed during the Ice Age when meltwater flowed through tunnels under the ice and carried away stones, gravel and sand. The stones and gravel were ground smooth against each other as they flowed under the ice. When the meltwater reached the edge of the ice, the rocks and gravel sank to the ground and formed pebble ridges.

Rutevejledning
Badelunda is located 1 kilometer northeast of Västerås. Drive from Västerås on E18 towards Stockholm. Turn off E18 at exit 139.2. Follow the brown sign "Anundshög" and drive 2.2 kilometers to Badelunda church. Park near the red building in the parking lot, there is an information board.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.
It is forbidden to:
- destroy or damage any fixed natural object or surface formation,
- drive a motorized vehicle or other motorized means of transport other than on designated roads,
- park other than in specially designated places,
- pitching a tent or caravan
- light fires other than in specially designated places
- use a radio, gramophone, tape recorder or similar device in a disruptive manner.
