Friluftsliv på recept - Alnön grön

On Alnön you can go for a walk that starts from the sports field near Vi center. There is parking at the IP. The nearest bus stop is Fiskebåtsvägen and the other bus stops along the route are Lastbåtsvägen and Eskadervägen. Starting from the IP, follow the pedestrian and bicycle path that runs south between the two grass fields. When you start to approach the larger Fullriggarvägen, the footpath splits and you turn right towards a pedestrian tunnel under the road. When you emerge, cross a street and take the right-hand footpath. Follow this footpath over a small rise and down a long descent. The walkway you walk on is paved compared to the crossing walkways which are graveled. You can follow the paved path all the way down until it turns into Eskadervägen. You keep right here so that you come out on the larger Raholmsvägen. If you are walking with a stroller or walker, turn right and follow the sidewalk back towards central Vi and IP. This route is a little over 2 kilometers and passes several benches. The walkways are illuminated so you can walk here even when it is dark. If you want to walk further, instead of turning right on Raholmsvägen, you can cross the road to the Eskadervägen bus stop. At the bus stop, a path leads into the forest. It is a fairly narrow path that winds down through the tall deciduous forest and comes out on the footpath that runs along the water. Here you keep right and follow this winding promenade. It runs in an airy alder forest at the edge of the beach and offers several nice views out over Alnösundet. Follow the promenade until you come to a gravel field. Here you turn right and follow the footpath up the hill to Raholmsvägen. Keep left and you will return to IP and central Vi.
