Volvobäckens Kvarnar i Långsjöby

The mills remain in their original condition, but the sawmill and the dam building for the upper mill have disappeared. During the 1970s, the mills and the mill dam were restored and a timber hut, which had been on the site for the mill staff, was rebuilt. A lumberjack hut was also moved here. At the beginning of the 2000s, a shepherd's hut was moved to the creek bend between the lower and upper mills. The cottage dates from the end of the 18th century and is one of Långsjöby's oldest remaining buildings. At the same time, the millpond and the water channel were renovated and a footbridge was built over the stream below the lower mill. In this way, the marsh grass was better fertilized by the nutrients in the meltwater.North of the upper mill there is a hay meadow that is still used in this way today.

On the south side of the stream by the footbridge there are a couple of Sami hut sites that are clearly visible in the terrain. Less than a kilometer west of the mill area there are trapping pits that are not yet signposted
