Trolltjärnen

Nice excursion destination with dramatic terrain and nice forests. Follow the hiking trail to the top of the mountain. The hike is quite steep, but once at the top you have a nice view of the surroundings. Here you look down towards the Umeälven valley and Lake Trolltjärnen, which lies beautifully between steep slopes.

There is a barbecue area at the top of the mountain. Firewood is available in a woodshed at the western foot of Trollberget next to Trolltjärnen along the trail up. You carry the wood yourself to the barbecue area.

Fishing in Trolltjärnen

Trolltjärnen is a well-known angling lake and there are several jetties and picnic areas around the lake. They are owned and managed by Umgransele fishing conservation area. If you want to fish in the lake, you can buy a fishing license from them.
