Tjulträsk (Dårraudden) - Biellojaure

Vindelfjällen's most beautiful trail according to one of Vindelfjällen's first nature monitors, Lasse Strömgren.

The trail starts from Dårraudden, where the easiest way to get there is by boat from the parking lot at Stor-Tjulträsket. The first part of the summer trail follows the ravine up the mountain and is therefore relatively steep. Once up on the mountain, you eventually get a wonderful view of Norra Storfjället and Sytertopparna before you start walking down towards the mountain resort of Biellojaure. From Biellojaure you can continue towards N Fjällnäs or take the trail via Vatjomjaurekojan to Ájvák and back towards Ammarnäs.

In the 30s and 40s there was a hut school at Dårraudden. Today there is not much left and the remains are difficult to spot. Respect the privacy zone and do not approach the private houses. There are many stories about how those who lived in Ammarnäs and Tjulträskdalen ran across the mountain when they had errands to Tärnadalgången. There were even those who cycled. From the late 60s to the mid-80s, Ammarnäs organized a running competition from Biellojaure to Ammarnäs (via Aigert). The race was called Paltmarschen (Palt March) because it ended with a palt dinner and dancing in the evening.
