Satsfjället

Satsfjället with its mountain peaks, rushing streams, blazing autumn colors and sparkling spring-winter snow has inspired many artists. Take a look inside artist Folke Ricklund's mountain studio south of Satsfjället. Hikers and skiers along the Lapland Trail can spend the night in a cabin next to Lake Sliptjehke.

The nature reserve is well worth a visit all year round. The summit of Satsfjället is reached after a short hike from the reserve entrance. Turn around and take a breather after the first steep climb up Pojken and enjoy the magnificent view of Kultsjödalen and the peaks of Marsfjället.

Satsån is one of the reserve's popular fishing waters. In winter, Röskalet is a popular destination with snowmobiles for sausage grilling and sledding.

Reindeer herding is actively practiced throughout the reserve. It is important that visitors do not disturb or frighten the reindeer.
